Solar cell conversion efficiency of 28%
a British familySolar energyTechnology company - Oxford Photovoltaic Co., Ltd. announced that its perovskite-based solar cells have broken new world records. The company's 1cm2 perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell has achieved a conversion efficiency of 28%, which is certified by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. This achievement broke the 27.3% efficiency record of the perovskite silicon solar cells created by Oxford Photovoltaic Co., Ltd. earlier this year.
Chris Case, CTO of Oxford Photovoltaic Co., Ltd., said: "We are continuing to advance our perovskite-silicon solar cell technology, which is expected to exceed 30% efficiency in the future based on the technology roadmap."
