Huawei will provide solar inverters for Saudi Arabia
Developer ACWA Power has a regular arrangement for using Huawei's monitoring equipment, which will use the SUN2000-90KTL string inverter at Al Jouf. According to Huawei, using its smart PV solution will increase production by 1.5-2%.
ACWA won the bidding process for Sakaka at a record low price in early 2018.
Solar plays a dual role in Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision strategy. In addition to freeing the country from dependence on fossil fuels, the Kingdom is still focusing on job creation across the entire solar value chain.
The groundbreaking event, attended by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, was held last November and is expected to be completed in October 2019.
