Latest statistics from India 2018 is the most environmentally friendly year

the Internet 2019-01-23 09:13:39

According to the latest statistics from India, India increased its total power generation (net) by 17.6 GW in 2018, 74% of which is based on renewable energy technology (mainly solar power), setting a record high. So far, 2018 has become The most environmentally friendly year for new capacity.

Specifically, India’s new installed capacity was 17.6 GW in 2018, of which 4.1 GW came from fossil fuels (including coal, oil, etc.), about 435 MW came from large hydropower, and 13.1 GW came from renewable energy technologies, including solar energy. The generating capacity is 8.9 GW and the wind power project is 2.2 GW.

Therefore, in the increase in total capacity, solar energy accounts for 50% of the total, while wind energy accounts for 12%. Fossil fuels have shrunk to 24%, but slightly higher than 21% in 2017.

The net capacity increase rate in the second half of 2018 dropped sharply from 12.7 GW in the first half of 2018, but slightly improved compared with the increased capacity (3.3 GW) in the second half of 2017. The fossil fuel industry has only increased its net capacity by 335 MW.

In the second half of 2018,Renewable EnergyThe proportion of total net increase is as high as 93%, and of the net increase of 4.9 GW, 4.6 GW comes from renewable energy capacity. The proportion of solar energy is 59%, the wind power is 15%, and the fossil fuel is 6%.

The sharp increase in renewable energy capacity last year reflected the share of low-carbon electricity. The share of renewable energy in India's overall power generation reached an all-time high of 9% between January and November 2018, waiting for the final figure for December. In the third quarter of 2018, the share of wind energy and total renewable energy technologies in overall power generation reached record highs of 8.2% and 11.9% respectively.
