Reduce the cost of photovoltaic power generation, new solar cells, the efficiency can exceed 25%

A few days ago, relevant researchers in the United States published a paper titled "Making Home Photovoltaic Power Generation a Reality" in the Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) journal "Journal of Electron Devices."



It is understood that the researchers proposed a new multi-terminal multi-link structure that can reduce the cost of photovoltaic power generation, and the power generation efficiency can exceed the current 25%. The structure is based on currently commercial polycrystalline silicon solar cells, as well as thin film solar cells made of materials such as copper oxide, which are abundantly contained in the earth's crust resources.



This new type of solar cell is expected to reduce photovoltaic power generation costs and increase power generation efficiency. In the near future, photovoltaic power generation will truly enter the homes of ordinary people.
